There are around 1.3 million animal species which have been identified by scientists. 97 percent of them are invertebrates - meaning they are animals without a backbone, a spinal column. Below you can see some of the invertebrates you may be able to meet and learn about when booking a Spirit of the Wild presentation or party. They come from the phylum Arthropoda, arthropods and we will look at the features of:

• Arachnids (spiders and scorpions)

• Myriapods (millipedes and centipedes)
